Q: What can coaching do for me?

A: Coaching can help provide you with the tools you need to enjoy success on your own terms. By facilitating mindful and strategic conversations geared towards the achievement of your personal goals and your wellbeing, coaching can help you find answers that work to nagging questions like: What can I do to live a more stress-free, balanced life? How can I let go of what doesn't serve me? How can I improve my relationships? How can I develop a more positive outlook? You don't have to be a meditation person or a yoga person to benefit from coaching. You just need to be invested in your own health, wellbeing, and be open to new ways of thinking and insights. Check out a vlog I created that answers this question below or by clicking here!

Q: Is coaching like therapy?

A: Coaching is not cognitive behavioral therapy. Coaching helps clients work towards their goals for the future and explore new pathways to achieving their goals. Counselors/Therapists spend more time examining the past, looking for solutions to emotional concerns and seek a diagnosis. The relationship between coaches and clients is a little less formal and more collegial in nature. Coaching helps people who are functional become highly functional. It is focused on prevention and maximizing all aspects of one's health and well-being. Clients who have serious mental or emotional problems are not suitable for coaching and I would refer such clients to an appropriate mental health professional for treatment.
